All right, so you made it to this page! That must mean you’re curious about who is behind the oven and who’s going to be baking that special cake for you.

Baking has always been more than just a kitchen task for me; it’s been my lifelong passion. My story began back in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where I grew up in a traditional family that valued home-cooked quality above all else. I still remember baking my very first cake as a teenager. Honestly, I’m just thankful that high-resolution smartphones weren't around back then! If they were, that first cake would definitely be a "funny" addition to my portfolio rather than a professional one. But hey, it tasted good, my family loved it, and I was hooked!

As I grew, so did the complexity of my recipes. I eventually traded my hobby for a rolling pin and a six-month professional baking course. It was a dream come true, though I wish someone had warned me that six months of "mandatory tasting" would lead to a little extra weight! Every ounce was worth it, though, to learn the science behind the perfect sponge and the smoothest fillings.

Life eventually led me to my husband, Rustam, and our three beautiful daughters. We’ve lived in six different countries during his career in the oil industry, but in 2022 we called Katy, Texas, home. That was the moment I decided to turn my passion into a business. Rustam is truly my partner in every sense—he’s my number one taste-tester (though these days he’s strictly a "taster" and no longer a "consumer" to keep his health in check!) and my right-hand man. Since I’m still perfecting my English, he’s the one you’ll likely chat with on the phone, and he’s our dedicated delivery driver. We don’t trust Uber or DoorDash with our cakes; Rustam treats every delivery like precious cargo. We’re a small family business in the truest sense!

When you order from us, you’re getting something far more special than a grocery store sheet cake. Every creation is made to order using the freshest local ingredients and inspired by my Central Asian roots. Because our recipes involve specific layering and "resting" time in the fridge to let the flavors truly come together, we aren't able to offer last-minute pickups. These cakes take time, love, and a bit of patience—but we promise that first bite is worth the wait. We are so proud to share a piece of our heritage with our neighbors here in Houston!
